At Parkway Podiatry in Brooklyn, New York, Gary Saphire, DPM, offers his patients top-tier care for their feet and ankles, along with the education they need to make the right podiatric decisions. As a board-certified podiatrist with years of experience serving people with a wide range of foot and ankle ailments, he helps his patients in the Bensonhurst and Gravesend neighborhoods get the treatments, exercises, shoes, and education they need to walk with comfort and confidence.
Dr. Saphire attended the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University in North Chicago, Illinois. He then completed his residency at Coney Island Hospital, where he served as the chief resident in podiatry for a year. He also studied flat feet surgical skills and diabetic foot and ankle surgery.
Today, Dr. Saphire is board-certified in foot and ankle surgery, as well as quality assurance and utilization review. He’s a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association.
He uses the latest procedures to treat his patients’ foot and ankle challenges, including OssaTron® shockwave therapy and arthroscopic procedures.
Dr. Saphire shares his expertise not just with his patients, but with the surrounding community and the medical field. Dr. Saphire has lectured on several topics, including foot and ankle trauma, Achilles tendon repair, and plastic surgery techniques for the feet. He’s also a published author on multiple arthroscopic issues and has served as the Director of Foot & Ankle Surgery at both the Brooklyn Hospital Center and Caledonian Hospital.
